Kim bluntly speaks about the importance of leadership roles providing clarity (as much as humanly possible) by making their people aware there are voids within the information they're providing. She continues, cautioning that, many listeners and hearers are holding on to each and every word being submitted. Therefore, the responsibility resides with the communicator to proceed with being mindful that people are misled when the delivery is presented as though it was delivered by a god (with a small "g"). The voids are being defined by Kim as pockets of information that are not yet known by the communicator. She speaks from the mindset which tells us, the communicator delivers their knowledge from their place of growth within those real-time moments. She adds, everything known by the communicator is not able to be conveyed in that one particular setting, be it a newsletter, podcast, or in-person format. An integral part of Kim's discussion makes it very clear that when communicators take on the identity of 'expert', there's a greater responsibility to make sure their people are aware, they have voids within their knowledge base, dismantling the possibility of being expected to have all the answers, removing the weight of the 'imposter syndrome' mentality.
